Subject	Boulder City, NV; Construction-Dams; Hoover Dam; Six Companies, Inc; Utah Construction Company
Description	In 1931, Utah joined Six Companies Inc. to raise the surety required to bid for the Boulder (Hoover) Dam contract. One of the world’s largest dams, Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 at a cost of $49 million. These scrapbooks document through photographs the construction of the dam showcasing UCC'; s part in its creation.

July 16th, 1932. 1333 Workmen disembarking from transport trucks at the upper portals, and going to work on the swing shift. July 16th, 1932. 1353 Low Level Concrete Mixing Plant, showing method of conveying concrete, both in 2-yard buckets and 4-yard agitators, cement is being unloaded by pneumatic suction from box cars on the left, and conveyed through pipes shown, to bins above.
