Subject	Boulder City, NV; Construction-Dams; Hoover Dam; Six Companies, Inc; Utah Construction Company
Description	In 1931, Utah joined Six Companies Inc. to raise the surety required to bid for the Boulder (Hoover) Dam contract. One of the world’s largest dams, Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 at a cost of $49 million. These scrapbooks document through photographs the construction of the dam showcasing UCC'; s part in its creation.

Note the new type of 8 cu. yd. bucket on the car, and the two additional 4 cu. yd. mixers being installed. December 1st, 1933. 2438 Close-up of Boulder Dam. The top blocks arc at Elevation 715. November 30th, 1933. 2446 Arizona Intake Towers. The head tower for No. 10 Cableway is erected and the 180 ft. boom derrick is nearly complete.";
