Dear Brother; I wired Ellerbech to ask you not to execute 0. S. L. contract until I could write you. It is for this reason. Nolf told me that the clause about paying for additional help had been stricken out altogether, but subsequently that the date had only been changed to excl¬ude all employees up to date but that we would have to pay for any addit-
tional help we or they might require here. Now on the 1st. of June I expect to change the time so as to run the train out early and back late and thus take train met to the terminus and use them there in handling freight during a portion of the day in place of thus using them here, and before doing this it would be well to have that clause struck out altogether or they will want to put on a man and charge us with it. They are getting eneough for this service as ot is without any such provision.
I am arranging to handle or e form Modena and have written Hickey to allow same to go to Salt Lake in our cars and have the cars returned with freight for points on the U. &. P. so as to avoid transfer here as well as delay. As we are paying them milage they should not refuse to allow us milage on what few cars we can send them in this way.
