I have since met the Editor and he frankly confesses his error and states that P. B.McKeon was the sourse of his information all of which I was previously aware of After perusing the paper please hand it to Judge Dee . Mr. Calvin and the party of Short Line Officials were here day before yesterday and Mr. McCune and party came to¬day the latter has gone to Pioche and will return on Monday next so as to be in Salt Lake Tuesday morning. He looked over the ties along the line and decided that he would assume the responsibility of putting in half of them even against 0 Melvanys protestation if agreeable to you . He is very desireous of having the work commenced at once but will call a directors meeting some time next week before giving any definate direction I hope to see you about that time. We will ship 24 cars of cattle from here tomorrow, the first, installment of IOO cars that we expect to handle before the month is out.
Hoping that you are quite well and with kind regards I remain, Yours truly,
