We have held our Utah & Oregon Lr Co meeting and declared a 25% dividend and I proposed David as one of the Directors so he is voted in. Henry ranked an increase of salary, so we passed a Motion that his salary be increased to $10000 a month subject to your approval. Things are moving along nicely and business seems good. James is up in Idaho and is going on to Baker City. Now dear Brother I think for the good of the Oregon Lumber Co business I think it would be best thing if I attended so all the correspondence pertaining to the General Office as that will be better than to have 3 or 4 as is the case now. And if you will instruct James and Jay to this effect as they are under the impression that I am working for the Eccles Lbr Co and therefore ignore me as to the Oregon Lbr Co business and I would much prefer you tell them than for me to do so, and I think it will be much better for the business for one to attend to it like it was before. I am getting up a list so we can tell at a moment what we realize for the lumber in boxes of any kind and I am thinking over a plan to get up a list and see what we realize for the lumber shipped from ¬Will. and also of others so that we can see what we realize. Money is coming in fairly good collections are all right Barrett is paying up prompt. O yes we got a list from the Fruit Farmers Association and they will want about 400.000 regular cases and the 100.000 will be mixed while there are only 5000 gallon cases. We have mailed Baker a list and they gave us the privilege of cutting 20.000 asparagus cases and two or three cars of the other kinds. We received the order for 1 Million Shingles from Griffith to day and I have forwarded same to Ingles. Everything looks for a good prosperous year and I hope we will make some money. Now Brother Eccles I hope you will give me the opportunity to buy that 5 shares of Oregon Lumber Co back again and I will promise to do my very best all the time and you will find it out. Now I hope you will come to my assistance this time and you will see it will be duly appreciated by myself and family. Please do not forget to tell them in the office when you come in that I am attending to the Oregon Lbr C business same as before and that I will be held responsible by you and it will make matters much better. Now I hope you will be prosperred in your dealings and things may move to your advantage and your life be preserved to your own satisfaction and for a blessing to your fellowmen I am Your Brother J. W. T. Volker
