MOSES THATCHER, PREST. G.W. THATCHER, VICE PREST. H.E. HATCH, CASHIER.
THATCHER BRO'S BANKING CO.
CAPITAL STOCK $150,000.
March 12, 1904.
Hon. David Eccles,
Baker City, Oregon. (Personal.)
I have been away from the Bank for a week, but in coming over this morning, I noticed that you had drawn upon us in favor of the Sugar Company for $60,000.00 which has been met.
There still remains to the credit of the account about $50,000.00. If you are likely to need this, please have the kindness to give us all the notice you reasonably can. We find that the lateness of the spring prevents the collections we had anticipated to receive by this date, and we shall probably yet have to wait for thirty or sixty days before we receive what we have anticipated. If, therefore, you are not likely to want this money and it is perfectly agreeable with you to leave it with us, - say $25,000.00 for three months and $25,000.00 for four months, we shall be pleased to allow you at the rate of five per cent, interest per annum.
Very respectfully yours, Moses Thatcher President.
