M E M O : - This letterhead is evidence of the Eccles, Spencer & Co., at Beaver Canyon, Idaho. This lumber operation was began during the time of the Scolfield operations. John Inglis said father had several mills concurrently operating in this area. But as the timber was cut, the mills were taken to other places. Undoubtedly the mill at Beaver Canyon was a Scolfield mill – perhaps the first one moved from that area. There is perhaps more data in regard this operation and when in the memoires of H. H. Spencer. I don’t know when nor how father became acquainted with H. H. Spencer.
