EXECUTIVE MANSION WASHINGTON April 18, 1901. My dear Sir: The President and party will reach Ogden, Utah, on their return from the Pacific Coast, Monday, June 3, at 1:20 P. M., and leave at 4 P. M., via the Rio Grande Western Railway. The personnel of the party will be about as follows: the President, Mrs. McKinley, Miss Mary Barber, maid, man servant, steward, Mr. Henry T. Scott, Mr. Laurance I. Scott, Charles A. Moore, Mrs. Moore, Secretary Hay, Mrs. Hay, Postmaster General Smith, Mrs. Smith, Secretary Long, Mrs. Long, Secretary Hitchcock, Miss Hitchcock, Secretary Wilson, Miss Wilson, Secretary Cortelyou, Mrs. Cortelyou, Dr. Rixey, Mrs. Rixey, Assistant Secretary Barnes, Mr. M. A. Dinam, three stenographers, three messengers, representatives Western Union and Postal Telegraph Companies, representatives Associated Press, New York Sun Association, Scripps-McRae Association, Harper's Weekly, Lealie's Weekly, Collier's Weekly, Washington Star, Washington Post and Washington Times, and probably three or four others. I shall be glad to be advised at your early convenience as to provisional program arranged by your committee, which it is hoped will not be made too exacting. It is desirable that whatever feasible drives be substituted fro receptions, as this will accommodate a much greater number of people. Owing to the limited accommodations on the train the members of reception and other committees will be met at the cities the represent.
