""Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.""
~ President Theodore Roosevelt, 1903
Three years before the 26th president of the United States spoke those words, Thomas D. Dec, David Eccles, and brothers Edmund O., William H., and Warren L. Wattis were poised to do great things. Just eight days after the turn of the century, these five entrepreneurs founded the Utah Construction Company.
It was an opportunity seized. It was their chance to ""work hard at work worth doing. It was the beginning of an era.
