They were good workers and after they'd pick their quota, they had a quota of 50 bushels of apples a day. They'd pick that and then pick for the guard. What they made above the quota we'd go down to the store and buy them what they wanted. Those guys worked, they were all good workers. They picked tomatoes for us, they picked so many boxes of tomatoes. As I can remember we had at least 20 of them on the farm picking. They would send one guard. I don't know if he even had a gun or not.
