During that time he flew 35 missions over Germany as an aircraft commander and received the Distinguished Flying Cross medal for his service in combat.

Richard Ulibarri served in several departments at Weber State University from 1965 to 2012, including the Institute of Ethnic Studies. He discusses his involvement with cultural studies and minority students. The interview took place on April 10, 1973.
