Weber State University Brick Wall

The Weber State University Oral History Program began conducting interviews with key Weber State University faculty, administrators, staff and students, in Fall 2007. The program focuses primarily on obtaining a historical record of the school, along with important developments since the school gained university status in 1991. The interviews explore the process of achieving university status, as well as major issues including accreditation, diversity, faculty governance, changes in leadership, curricular developments, etc.

Ron Galli discusses his 50 plus year career at Weber State University as a professor of Physics. The interview took place on May 13, 2008.

Stan Greenhalgh discusses his career at Weber State University from 1978 to 2008 as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources. The interview took place on May 12, 2008.

Nancy Haanstad discusses her time at Weber State University for twenty-seven years as a professor in the Political Science department. The interview took place on March 21, 2014.

The following is an oral history interview with Dr. Susan Hafen, conducted on June 25, 2021, by Kandice Harris, via video communication platform, Zoom. In this oral history interview, Susan discusses her life, her memories, and her career as a Professor of Communication at Weber State University.

Warren Hill discusses his career at Weber State University from 1990 to 2011 when he retired as Dean of the College of Applied Science and Technology.  The interview took place on June 21, 2013. 

Caril Jennings discusses her background and her career at Weber State in the Department of Performing Arts for over 22 years. The interview took place February 14, 2014.

Marie Kotter discusses her many different experiences with Weber State University beginning in 1972. Positions included Assistant Vice President for Academic Support, Vice President for Student Services and in 2007 she became a member of the McKay Dee Board of Trustees. The interview took place on October 26, 2008. 

Diane Krantz discusses her career at Weber State University from 1995 to 2012 as an English professor.  The interview took place on April 4, 2014. 

E. Jeffrey Livingston discusses his career at Weber State University beginning in 1980. Livingston served as a Business professor, chair of the Business Management Department, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean of Continuing Education, and as Interim Provost of the University. The interview took place on March 27, 2010.
