The Weber State College/University Student Projects have been created by students working with several different professors on the Weber State campus. The topics are varied and based on the student's interest or task for a specific assignment. These oral history assignments were created to help Weber State sutdents learn the value and importance of recording public history and to benefit the expansion of the Weber State oral history collections.

Raymond Larson discusses the development of public schools in Morgan County and the growth of the LDS Church there. He also talks about roads and transportation. The interview took place on February 26, 1973.

Joseph Lavine, an inmate of the Weber County jail, discusses his experiences with crime and punishment. The interview took place on August 12, 1971.

Former governor and mayor, J. Bracken Lee discusses his career and his political views. He argues for wider latitude with vice and against the liquor commission, especially during his years in Price. He also talks about friendships with leaders of the LDS Church and his various campaigns for public office. He tells about his friendship with outlaw Matt Warner and Warner’s purported friendship with Butch Cassidy. The interview took place on May 21, 1971.

J. Victor Liefson discusses Icelandic history and genealogy as well as his own experiences and knowledge of immigration of the Icelandic people into Spanish Fork, Utah. The interview took place on July 20, 1972.

Murran Lockhart-Boren talks about her family history, her upbringing in Utah, and what life was like in the early 1900s. The interview took place between July 15 and 21, 1983.

Vilate Lofthouse describes the purchase of property in Washington Terrace, the rise in the property’s value, and her experiences living there. The interview took place on March 2, 1973.

Glen Loveland discusses unionism and its effect on the postal service in Ogden, Utah. The interview took place on July 15, 1976.

Buell Russell Lyon shares his memories of serving in the Navy during World War I and his time in the Naval Reserves. He also discusses his position as commander of the Department of Utah, Veterans of World War I. The interview took place on December 14, 1974.

George Lythle discusses his knowledge and impressions of the Mountain Meadows Massacre, LDS Church involvement, John D. Lee, the Missouri Wildcats, ranching in Southern Utah, the Paiute Indians, and tourism. The interview took place on February 9, 1971.

Oakley McCarthy discusses his experiences and knowledge of the railroad business in Ogden, Utah. The interview took place on July 5, 1973.
