The Weber State College/University Student Projects have been created by students working with several different professors on the Weber State campus. The topics are varied and based on the student's interest or task for a specific assignment. These oral history assignments were created to help Weber State sutdents learn the value and importance of recording public history and to benefit the expansion of the Weber State oral history collections.

Ellen P. (Nellie) Moffett Done discusses her life in the Mormon colonies in Mexico, including Colonia Dublan. The interview took place on September 4, 1971.

 

Jeanine Hodgson Downing discusses her grandfather, architect Leslie Simmons Hodgson. The interview took place on March 17, 2004.

Joseph Drysdale shares his experiences joining the Army when he was 16 years old in 1916 with his parents' permission and encouragement from the Ogden, Utah mayor. He discusses being sent to the Mexican border for the Mexican Revolution and serving as a bugler in France during World War I. The interview took place on December 16, 1974.

Verna Egbert discusses her memories of training with the nurse cadets, her LDS mission, and her life experiences as a wife and mother. The interview took place on February 23, 1998.

"Moki" Mac Ellingson discusses his life on the Green River and his memories of Bert Loper. The interview took place on March 3, 1973.

Malcolm Ellis discusses his experience with the Salt Lake Theater. The interview took place on April 19, 1971.

Quinn M. Eskelsen shares his memories of the attack of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He recounts his feelings and experiences receiving his training and serving in one of the last battles of the Pacific War. The interview took place on December 7, 1971.

Ruel M. Eskelsen describes his memories of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, when he was in command of the battalion of field artillery in California. The interview took place on December 7, 1971.

Ruth Eskelsen shares her experiences of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. She discusses her friend's Japanese gardener and his family being sent to a relocation center. The interview took place on December 7, 1971.

Orlen Francis Fackrell describes moving from Eaton, Utah to the Bridger Valley in Wyoming with his family while a young boy. He discusses his life in southwestern Wyoming, homesteading, his service in the Army during World War I, and his work on the railroad. The interview took place on October 28, 1976.
